Who are these qualifications for?

In the GA Level 3 Award in Safety Around Dogs, learners will explore the body language of dogs, how to approach a dog safely, and the risks and hazards associated with dogs. This is an ideal qualification for anyone who is a dog owner or enthusiast, including older children and/or parents with an interest in staying safe around dogs. It is also an ideal qualification for anyone interested in a career or volunteer position related to dog welfare, training and other pet professionals. In the GA Level 3 Award in Dog Friendly Hospitality, learners will explore the health, welfare and behaviour of dogs in the context of hospitality settings. This is an ideal qualification for anyone working within hospitality who would like to offer suitable amenities and services and a dog-friendly environment for their dog-owning guests and customers. In the GA Level 3 Award in Practical Animal Welfare, learners will develop their skills and understanding in heath checks, handling, evaluating behaviour and accommodation, and mitigating risks associated with animal care. It is designed to enable learners to develop the required knowledge and skills to assist with licensing premises under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018, in animal care establishments. In the GA Level 3 Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour and Training, learners will explore animal behaviour, the assessment of animal needs, effective animal training, the concepts of animal learning theory and its application to the training and behaviour modification, and the legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to the care, training, and welfare of companion animals. Companion animals includes dogs, cats, reptiles, small mammals, equine, and birds. This is an ideal qualification for individuals wishing to become a companion animal trainer or to progress onto higher level training and a career as an animal behaviourist.
